Saturday fun

Ok..
Maybe not as fun as I try to persuade myself that it is, have a persistent cold and is closing shop tonight.. yet.. people today is gonna be happy and fun cause its in the middle of the weekend!
When I get home I can take a looong bath and soak befor hitting bed.. so all in all.. it's gonna be a good day.

So for my reading yesterday I found that solar panels are probably a good idea here in texas although with the high winds and hail you prolly wanna go with the ones that comes with insurance. If you wanna solar panel heat your hot tub, do the overall panel on yer house instead, it's cheaper and easier and in the end it have the same or better effect on yer monthly energy bill.
I think solar panels are going onto my list.

Today decided

Time to learn more about solarpanel, I mean I know I want it. And I want to care about nature as welll as my wallet. But what can be run by it and what costs are involved to start? Lets see what we can find? Please don't post links, if you find something just comment.

Slow day

Off work today but gotten a bit of an annoying cold, probably from enjoying the nice weather too much (people around here don't agree with me when I think the weather is great, they claim it's cold)Yet I been looking around a bit about houses and studied some more.

Oh and I am searching to buy an used wii.. when I was in sweden I played it a lot with my boys and my sister. would be great to keep that up across the world, but ya as we are saving towards the house I cant spend that much on it.

We agree yesterday finally about the house.. My point won and we are now looking for the smallest cheapest one, reason is to save money every month to be able to upgrade soon either here or in Sweden.. soon meaning a year or two or more. Still gonna be exiting to have a real own home (I just dont count places where you cant put up a doorbell and a welcome sign on the door as true own homes)

I met an old friend last night in second life (ya I am that crazy), we both met our worse halves online and so far we been the only two I in the friends group that had a happily ever after. But the news last night made me the only one left..happily ever after lasted ten years for my friend. Now she is alone with four children in a country far far away from fiends and family.

Thrift store treasure hunt

Was just out to the local thrift store, I love that place... So much lovely junk you can do so many cool things with. I bought two wallclocks.that is getting new paint.and a huge bag that use to ver for computers but is now gonna serve me welll next time I travel.

Patio

I am seriously considering cleaning the unpainted cement floor or the patio today, its full of laquer.. nail polish (Ana is the maker of THAT one) and all kind of stuff I can't even identify (and don't want to try), twittering and searching around for the best ways to accomplish it... well... First.. I need my morning coffee!

It's sunday morning, twitter is full of religious posts about easter, after the storm last night and with my fresh cup of coffee it all feel quite peaceful I must say. Still I wish I had a nice lil garden to make my hands dirty in, it's perfect weather for such... Maybe next spring I be able to.

Wow.. it's a jungle out there... I wish

Ok.. so today I work some on this blog and twitter.. ton of new things to learn, I love learning new things all the time.
I also took a look around the area on the house for sale links and I found one house.. now let me tell you just how eager I am to get out of this lil rat hole.. this house I am looking at only have interior pictures.. and every one shows rooms that need SERIOUS renovation.. the outside picture (the only one) shows a huge tree covering us from having at least the faintest idea how the house really looks.. now so what was it that attracted me? The price... for $40,000 I am prepared to make a world of renovations.. the garden is just grass but pretty big.. my fingers itches to start making it into something personal and wonderfull.. relaxing area for a quiet bookreading or.. some vegie growing.. heck.. its big enough for both.. and why not one of thoose sheds you make yourself... gotta figure out the color ofthe house first though.. to decide what color to paint that shed.. oh and I want some lil running water too in the garden.. and the theme sweedish inspired but with plant that can stand texan heat... 

Boy I am in a bad way.. I NEED a house! Wonder if my doctor would perscribe that and it will go on my insurrance?

Ok so this is us..

First and foremost it's my beloved worse half Joseph we are both around fortyish and work at the same company.. both have fulltime jobs.
Mats and Johan is the older sons.. moved out and living by themself.. yet have solid say in everything. Ana is only 14 but acts like she is the head of the house :)
I love my work but would not mind going down to part time when we get our house so I can focus more on it, we all (including Ana) loves to do things for ourself and is not affraid of learning new things or working hard (Well the working hard part could be a problem with all the teens, but the will is there).

That said the focus on this blog is the house that we cant afford yet.. but we have a ton of dream places allready.. our favorite is in SWEDEN! So thats a lil out of the way .. not to mention the traveling to and from work :)

But as I said befor, it is not only a dream, six months we been promissed... so budget is around $80 000 and we need to be cheap so we have some to put down and take care of all legal matters as well.

Ok.. So I pep myself up, this is going to be a long and frustrating journey I allready have figured out. The whole family decided we NEED a house, we grown and we flourished and quite frankly we don't fit in our tiny appartment any more. Yet to get there will be an adventure as we have hardly any savings and pretty low paying jobs. We gotten a promisse that in six months we will be able to apply for a loan at max $80,000. So til then we study, searches and learn to fix things ourselves. Thats what this blog is about, to keep us focused on the prize and prepare.
