So Christmas is over that was quick, probably because we where working all through it. Next year I need to take vacation before. It is going to be a wonderful Christmas if the boys can make of over here!
this year Philip bought me leather working tools for my obsession.it's so nice of him, especially considering I turn the whole living room into a workshop when doing it.
But I got a few Christmas presents done, a bag for maddes net book, tool thingy for Philip and a cigarette case for my sister - in - law. So I guess it's not all bad.

Ten Ways to ruin love
So I gotten old and wise lately, there is a ton of advices everywhere on how to save a relationship. So, how about top ten ways to ruin it? Feel free to add more in comments.
1. When he asks for the 21th time for a lil cuddly time, turn from the computer with a deep sigh and say "sure, when I finished this blog" then write the longest most inspired blog ever, in the morning accuse him of falling asleep on you.
2. Wash only your clothes as his is stinking of sweat from his two jobs. He cant expect you to risk your clothes, you need them to make the time go by with your friends.as he is not around.
3. Dinner means him picking up something on his way home, when he asks what you want, tell him to supriced you. Then you get out of cooking and dont forget to complain about whatever he brings.
4. Drool over some musclebound knitwit on tv and ask when was the last time your lover went to the gym. To top it off take a ten minute walk alone to "think about things".
5. When you have to clean (not too often) make a fuss about every single bad habbit he got, and make it seem that you do everything in the house, even though you do as little as you possibly can.
6. Hygien is for evenings out and work, he is supposed to love you as you are right? Plus there is no need to waste good deodorant and toothpaste.
7. When you get a present for no reason, tell him in no uncertant terms that it dont mean he is getting some...
8. When you get a present for a reason (birthday, Christmas etc) tell him in a sweet voice about the much more expensive/exiting present you got from an ex bf. If you don't come up with something, lie!
9. Invite your mother and sister to stay indefenetly, then let them help you make life unbeareable for him. If he can slave for you, there is no reason he can't do the same for the ones you love.
10. Never EVER tell him you love him, and if you accidently done anything to make him happy make sure he hears about it for months, or even better, för years.
If theese advices do for some reason not work, then you can kick him out, cause you didn't want a weak yes säger as partner...

Morning 1 day off
Mmm, hot coffee, perfect temperature weather, madde off to school, phillip at work. Nothing planned for today except a bit of cleaning, laundry and dishes. Could it be any better?
My legs is bothering me a lot, might take some meds later just to move around easier. Is a silly story that one, I started noticing that lump by my thigh years ago, at first I thought I bumped into something, but since it didnt hurt unless I poked it, it was an easy fix... I just didn't poke it.
Over the last years it started hurting more and more, but by now I talked myself into thinking it was cancer or something, and you know how it is with cancer... you don't have it until you go to the doctor (I know, I know, phillip allready beat me up over that silly thinking). Finally hubby drag me to the doc, by now it is hurting all the time so I don't object too much. Doc checks it out and it turns out to be a stupid gathering of fat that hardened some, big DUH moment! She (my doc) send me to a general surgeon and we see what he says. My hope is that he picks up a big surringe, shows it into my leg and sucks it out! Anyway I am relieved I am not going to die, I mean of course I am sooner or later, but I want to experience a tiny period of calm and content first, lilla house, loving family, no worry on how to pay next bill. Sounds like heaven to me. Been too many years struggling and replanting myself.

This and That
Yesterday I decided I try a new approach, I put an ad in on craigslist about house wanted, but no replies so far. I have time though, the plan is january.
At work things go its usuall way, I am exited about my new resposibility, but wishing I had a little more tools. I make it work though, it sure is a challenge to do more things on same time, but challenges as well is fun.
Phillip likes my e-cig and little bit too much for my taste, so I. Am buying him a bottle of liquid with no nicotine and a few more flavors. That way he can puff away to his hearts content.
I started playing with leather work a little bit, it is lots of fun, but harder then I thought, i made a cover for my phone but I. Will start over with another cause the design have some flaws. Still not TOO bad for a first try.
Hand stiching took the most time, stamping was a challenge on the thin leather, the only thing that was easy was staining it.

Family meetings and fat bumps
We just decided we are going to start having real sceduled family meetings once a week at home, we start with half an hour and go from there. First one would be wednsday night, I keep it updated here how it goes.
Yesterday I was finally to the doctor about the lump close to my hip that been hurting for so long. Guess what, it is a pesky lump of fat, and they are probably going to remove it. Igot an appointment to a general surgeon.. nah I worried so much over a yucky bit of fat, how stupid.

Important stuff
So, we been all emotional about this all finding a home, in the process I think we forgotten what is really important.
Lately though we gotten a few rude reminders of that it doesn't really matter where we live, as long as we are together and safe.
I wont go into details as that kind of personal exploitation of family members defenetly don't belong on a public media. Lets just say that we all been seriously ruffled around and we will continue to be so for a time.
Have we given up on the home? Heck no! It just doesn't feel like it is THE most important thing in our life right now. Yet a move, some creativity, change of scenery and the feeling that at least some things are moving to the better would of course be nice.
We are looking at a few houses our realator suggests, but to be honest they seem too new, too small garden and just lacking the personality we are looking for. So we keep looking. After all, it is not THE most important thing.

Driving simulator
Got myself a simulator program, seems there is no good american ones so I am using a European one 3D driving. That and a set of wheel and pedals, and I am ready to go.
Allready killed a poor pedestrian, man I am glad it wasn't a reall one. My instructor is annoying, but he got the patients of an angel. All in all I sure recommend it.

Drivers licence
So I finally decided to get my license, six years after the first person told me there was no way to live in texas without one.
Was at the dps in McKinney today, wow, had to stand in line for an hour and then wait inside for another hour. I thought it worked like at home, you get permit and books and then you take the test.. uhm no.. had to take the test at once, and good news is that I have two more Chances ;-).
Hey I am usually hard on myself about tests, but this one I am not. The language in the questions is hard and I had not read ANYTHING yet, infact the main thing we went for was to grab the book. So, 53% is pretty good in my book!!
Besides, I think they were planning on letting me do the drivers test too... and we dont want to kill anyone do we?

Passion
For some reason passion came up as a subject in the smoking area at work yesterday (yes I even the vapor-people have to stay there).
Passion is an interesting term, it suggest extremely levels of high emotions.
A lot of people want passion in their relation, they want people that are passionate about their work and so on.
What is often forgotten is that strong emotions goes both ways, in a relationship that means rollercoaster between hottest happiest love and deepest misery, very passionate relations tend to be either short or contain violence and/or jelosy.
At work if you are passionate about what you do, then you are probably very good at it, it also means that if what you do dont get appreciated or there is other things that will ruin what you do, then you are going to be VERY upset.
Passionate people are wonderful, creative, warm.. but can you really handle the heat? Weather as an employer or a partner.. if not, you might want to settle for ordinary.

Smoking, learning
Allready have I. Done a few mistakes with my "precious". First apparently you are supposed to charge the battery for eight hours befor you use them the first time, then use it for a few minutes and charge it another hour. Hope I didn't shorten the lifespan too much.
Second, I filled five tanks full, tried each one of them for flavor.. then carried them with me.. well, the automizer punches a whole in the caps (or no fluid drops out) and... duh... my box is ofcourse now stinkingly of liquid, separately they smell wondefull.. all mixed up... not so much.
Oh, ya important! You should not keep your cig by your cellphone or garageopener or such! I think I might killed cigarette batteries that way in the past ugh..
All Theese mistakes done and learned from.. It still works and I still love it, used it all day at work yesterday, it need a timer though lol, people are used to that when the cigarette burn out, its time to go back to work. Besides, its too easy to just keep vaping, seriously there should be some kind of function letting you know you smoked eqvivalant to a whole cigarette.

Love it!!
Ok so yesterday I got my new e-cigarette, the reason I didn't blog yesterday evening was Ofcourse that I was busy trying it out. Phillip was nice enough to put it on charging so by the time I got home from work it was fully charged.
I filled the tank with e-liquid and four drops of watermelon flavor.. and.. yummy! The pipeflavor with cherry was a winner as well and Phillip that only is an occasional pipesmoker loved that too.
There is a lot of Vapor from it, thick and nice, I got used to press the button almost emedietly.
I tried to smoke and normal burning cigarette a moment ago and blah, it tastes as shit! Pardon my language, with the hassle free cig with good flavors I don't think I have any problem giving the "analog" cigarettes up for good this time!
The battery have lasted at least 5 hours so far and is still going strong

Waiting
Sometimes my whole life seems like an endless series of waitings.
Some waitings are long term, as waiting for the monthly thing to go away forever(trust me, I don't care about wrincles and gray hair at that point).
Some waitings are shorter like waiting for January.. waiting for next time I can visit family and friends or they can visit me, waiting for summer to take a hike so i can breathe again.
There is the shorter waitings too. Like my cigarette comming in the mail, payday, my two days off work, the classes I look so much forward to AT work and even the micro waitings.. the laundry being done so I can have a warm shower.
I have done some really hard waitings in my days, the nine months wait TWICE befor I could hold my precious sons in my arms, the year I had to go back to Sweden after Phillip asked me to marry him before I could come back to stay, the half year and some waiting for my greencard almost did my head in..
I am not saying I don't enjoy the now, just that I am sick of all the friggen waiting..

Dear old friends
I am not a very social butterfly, but I have a handfull of very dear to me friends. They might not know how much I love them as I am so bad at keeping contact. But that doesn't make it any less true.
The other day I was told one of the above few might come visiting and that makes me so exited I want to sing, that however is not a good idea since you have to be considerate to other people.
This guy was my friend in hard times, held my hand when I wanted to just sink down, and helped pulling me up. Funny thing is, that I never met him in person.
Phillip is happy about it too as they know eachother as well, infact it was Phill that told me he might come visit us.
There was once a place called Worlds 3D.. thats where we all met what feels like forever ago, using names like Justanillusion, lorddevonn, Zombolic.. there was others too I remember, some I still keep contact with like Elsbeth and JoeRamone others I just remember fondly, and a few left us to miss them forever like batman101 may h e rest in peace.
This place that once was the most advanced and cool seems to have faded into the Internet heaven. But some of us will never forget..
One track mind
Oh you knew I had a one track mind! And right now I am obsessing about the e-cig I ordered.
The battery is supposed to be able to hold a charge hours longer then my old cheap one, and best of all.. it has a tank for the liquid! No more fluff or *braces myself * rolled tight paper. It means no more yucky handling and cleaning!
If you want to check it out, here is the link, but ofcourse dont buy anything until I tried it out! It might even be in the mail TODAY!

E-cigs
Today I ordered my new e-cig and I also ordered flavors. Ten tiny bottles of diffrent flavors was $50 after shipping. The cig was $60. I allreday have plenty of unflavoured liquid or that would been at least another $40.
But now I should be set, I have not seen a single bad reviews about the cig so I have great hopes that it is much better than the cheap one is been using some far.
As to flavors I choose three diffrent tobacco flavors, Blueberry, choklat, lemon-liqoridge, double apple, strawberry and one i dont remember.
I will be glued to the mailbox every morning till it all arrive!!!

Straps or no straps
So yesterday was crazy because of thoose silly needed straps, and then when Madde arrived to the dance it turned out it changed and they where not needed at all!
Thankfully my girl thinks fast and ripped the ugly shirt off and showed it into her purse. Apparently she had a great rest of the evening so I am glad.
Today I accidently arrived at work two hours early, it's OK though, it gives me time for a little shopping that I needed. I love the new sawing kit down in textiles for $14.99.
With the endorsing thing they asked us what we would like to see as our options to endorse, I suggested more up to date movies, music and local events. Other things was of course Swedish companies like Ericsson and Volvo etc. It allways makes me feel a lil pride and less homesick (I know it's silly) when I deal with anything Swedish at all.
Elise down in lighting spent some of her time investigating a good way to lock my Thors hammer in leather that my son made me when he was here around my neck, she came up with some cute lil metal pieces that will work great and look good as well! I really appreciate the time she put down!
This morning I took a little peek at houses again, our last favorite is still there, so with a little luck it is still there in January!

Home comming panic
So there I am sawing on the dress for Homecomming, then shoulder straps turn out to be necessary.. my idea to fix it dont. Work so next solution is to get a shirt and tuck in.. it looks crazy and I tell her that.. the amazing teen
looks at me and says: oh yeah.. uhm.. cool!Friday, September 23, 2011
Long day
Today Is Going to be a long day, I need to finish Maddes skirt then go to work. In between there do some shopping and cleaning. Taking out a loan from my 401k to make us in good standing since we fell back a little after the car broke down twice. But that is going back as soon as possible.
The coupon thingy makes the shopping a little more fun but also a little slower, it is saving money though so necessary.
I am about to order a new ecig and liquid, the brand I have is good and all but too much of a hassle to bring to work as the filters hold too little liquid and the batteries dont hold the charge very long. I have my eyes on a brand many say is good.
Ecigs are kind of controversial as they do contain nicotine and apparantly fad found small amounts of not so heathy substances as well, I got to say though that compared to 600 poisons such is the lowest number I heard about reall cigarettes, Ecigs are defenetly to prefer. I see the point though that the people that is against it claims, that it might be tempting for NEW smokers, especially since most flavors actually taste good. However, it is still expensive and you feel a little silly "pretending" to smoke. Ihardly think Ecigs is going to be the "cool" thing to do any time soon. Besides that, if you like to smoke Vapor cause of the good flavors (and low calories) you can choose nonnicotine liquid.
Ok.. enough rambling for today! Need to start finishing that skirt.

Coupons craze
A coworker put a post on Facebook that she was going to start doing the coupon thing and I thought that might be something for us as well, ugh, first of all it is a jungle out there beware!!
But one good tips was www.athriftymom.com (no I don't get paid for that link), Kroger has an own app and there is plenty of other special Apps also for coupon hunting.
I put madde to cut coupons from all our junk mail and magazines, and bought a cheap organized at walmart (also I had a pile of coupons with me for all kinds of things, cleaners especially as we still have our january plan).
So far I say it's gonna use a lot of time, but it might absolutely be worth it!

Homecomming
Oh man another american teenage thing I know nothing about! It makes me feel absolute helpless to not know the correct social codes to help my girl through highschool, she pretty much have to figure it out and then tell me. So, she tells me its formal and have something to do with football ok.. she spring that on me only a few days befor.. cool, there is no way I can buy her a dress that will be competetive with her high class schoolmates. I don't want to embarrasse her with Wallmart tag on her dress. So... only option is something designed... by me... I have TWO days off work and is recovering from a bad cold. PANIC!!
Finally it hits me! I have a two piece dress in my closet that dont for me anymore.. the dress I made for my weddingdress. It consists of a corset (that I by the way won first price in a contest with) and a loooong skirt. Both in Lilac. I feel horribel putting the scissors through it, but it's for my favorite girl so heck. The skirt is gonna become kneehigh and she actually grown into the corset, it fits her like it was made for her! I am going to add some black lace and wide shoulder straps from the leftovers of the long train skirt. Tomorrow it should be done. We are also trying out diffrent hairdos and makeups (woo! She let me tweeze her bushy eyebrows! What a diffrents it made! From bushy to lil
lady!)
Theese pictures are from the first fitting today:
Plan for now
Ok, now we got a plan, saving as much money as we can doing two jobs each. Phillip is doing the tougher load on that since MY second job is right here, his is going off to supercut and do as many haircuts as he can for four to six hours AFTER driving a forklift all night! He is friggen amazing!
Second we (meaning mostly me as phillip actually need to sleep once in awhile) are going to prepare for moving by throwing out all unessesary junk and pack whatever left that we dont use daily, once we are left with bare necessities we can focus on touchups of the appartment to be able to leave it in mint condition.
Once january comes our creditscores will be good enough and everything else is ready, we can just pick the perfect house out, buy it and move..
Sounds like a good plan to me ;-)

The answer
So we finally got the reply about the mortage, it was a no but by now we where not expecting a yes so its a relief to just not have to wait anymore. We try again in January, we are better echonomically then anyways.
The places we looked at probably wont be there but otherones will be, maybe even something better. Anyway my nose is hurting so much from the cold I am having that there is no way I will add sniveling.
Oh yeah and I. Accidently sent Madde to bed at ten, forgetting there is no school tomorrow. Bah
